This is the final Guidelines in Practice Highlights email of the year and, therefore, a good time to look back over the last 12 months.
We have continued our popular differential diagnoses series, with articles on rashes in children, red eye, chronic cough in adults, and low back pain. These articles present a range of possible causes of a common symptom using patient case studies. Keep an eye out next year for articles on breast pain, changes in bowel habit, and palpitations.
In summer, we held a successful Guidelines Live conference in London and Manchester, with sessions on dermatology, asthma, COPD, and diabetes. The team is already busy organising next year’s event, which will take place on 19–20 November 2019 at Olympia London.
We also launched our new Pharmacist focus series with a couple of articles on integrating the role of clinical pharmacists in general practice. We are planning more pharmacist-led content throughout 2019, with a focus on clinical topics that are relevant to general practice pharmacists.
We look forward to helping you keep up to date with best practice and new and updated guidance during 2019. If you would like to make suggestions of topics you would like to see covered, please get in touch at: gemma.lambert@mgp.co.uk
Lastly, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year and all the best for 2019.
